RAISING THE LEGAL AGE FOR MARRIAGE

 IS IT GOOD OR BAD???

Hey there!!!! As in previous two blogs I talked about psychology and law and if u want to read those two I will provide the link  in the end of this blog…….so, let’s talk about today’s topic which was also in the news few months back: changing the rules about when girls can get married. It is a very big thing, and it could make a huge difference in the lives of so many young girls. So, let’s talk about it!!!

Imagine you are 18 years old. You are just starting to figure out who you are, what you like and what you want to do with your life. And suddenly someone telling you that it’s your time to get married! That will be heart breaking right? Well, that’s why some people think it’s a very good idea to wait until you are 21.

Why waiting?? This question will come into some people mind….. So, here it is.

·   To keep girls safe: Marriage is a very big step, and it is very essential to be ready for it. By waiting until 21, girls will have more time to grow up, become more mature, and most importantly to figure out what they want in life.

Education: Waiting until 21 means girls can focus on their education. More educations simply denotes to better future.

·  For their health: Getting married at young age often means having babies at a very young age, which is tough. Waiting until 21 means girls are more likely to be ready for the challenges of being a parent.

·   Fairness for all:  By setting the same marriage age for everyone, we’re saying everyone’s dreams and future matter regardless of the gender. It is a step toward making sure girls have the same opportunities as boys to pursue their goals and to build the future that they want.

But changing the rules isn’t that easy, and there are a lot of things to think:

·  How to make it work: We need to make sure that girls from all the backgrounds have the help and support that they need, to stay in school and build a better future.

·  Respecting their choices: Some people worry that raising the marriage age might take away girl’s freedom to decide themselves. It is crucial, to find a balance between both: keeping girls safe and giving them choices to take their own decision.

·  Helping everyone: Not all families are same, and some girls might face challenges if they are not getting married before 21. We need to think from all the perspective, especially if they are struggling with the things like poverty and abuse.

In conclusion:

Changing of the age isn’t just about following some new rules: it’s mainly about giving them chance to grow up safe and strong. Let’s keep talking and working together to make sure every girl has the opportunity to reach her full potential. After all everyone deserves a happy ending!!
